Join us for our comprehensive Small Business Tax Workshop (SBTW), a two-part series designed to help entrepreneurs and small business owners navigate the complex world of taxes. In these two workshops, presenters Yolanda Durant and Anthony Ferraro will delve into the intricacies of federal taxes, schedule C filings, electronic filing and payment systems, home-office deductions, hiring employees or contractors, managing payroll, and considerations when hiring individuals who aren’t U.S. citizens. Whether you’re just starting your business journey or looking to optimize your tax strategy, this workshop provides practical tips to help you make informed decisions and minimize taxes. The New York State Department of Labor offers free virtual monthly workshops on a wide variety of job search topics including resume writing, interview preparation, how to navigate a virtual career fair, how to write cover letters, managing job loss, veterans services and resources, goal setting, transferable skills and more. Because the workshops are presented online you can register for workshops offered at any of the Career Centers across New York State. All you need is access to a computer and the internet. If you don’t have access to a computer you can visit the resource room of the career center closest to you. If you have any questions about attending any of these events or recruitments, contact your local Career Center.
