We are recruiting volunteers for the 2024 tax filing season (2023 tax year).

All volunteer positions require advance training to be completed before the program begins in February. The program will be delivered on site by appointments only and drop off at specific sites.

Volunteers serve in a variety of positions: Tax Preparer, Quality Reviewer, Screener/Greeter and Interpreter,  All roles are very important to the residents served. We will work with volunteers to accommodate individual schedules.

Roles and Responsibilities for all Volunteers are as follows:

• Complete Volunteer Standards of Conduct training,
• Complete and sign Form13615, Volunteer Standards of Conduct Agreement,
• Understand that no compensation of any kind is accepted for the volunteer services you provide,
• Maintain confidentiality and protect taxpayer information,
• Take pride in performing tasks completely and accurately,
• Interact with taxpayers, volunteers, partners and IRS in a professional and courteous manner,
• Be friendly, dependable and flexible,
• Adhere to Title VI by not denying service to anyone based on race, color, sex, age, national origin or disability,
• Support VITA programs.
