Our workforce development team partners with local businesses to reduce the cost of employee training. Through flexible reimbursement programs, employers can receive funding for training new hires or upgrading the skills of current staff.

Once enrolled, your organization can access multiple training opportunities under a single agreement valid for up to four years.

On-the-Job Training (OJT)

What it is:
Get reimbursed for training new hires while they learn on the job.

Incumbent Worker Training (IWT)

Business Sector Customized Training

What it is:

Work Tryouts

What it is:
Evaluate candidates on the job before hiring—at no cost to you.

Key Benefits:

  • No salary cost to employer
  • 6–8 week trial period
  • Pre-screened candidates
  • Paid by Westchester County (1099 contractors)
