In-Person Career Center Workshops
The Westchester-Putnam Career Centers have launched a robust schedule of workshops in both English and Spanish at all four career centers, with more to come. The workshops include a wide variety of topics including computer literacy. There are no fees, and computers are supplied on-site. There are a limited number of computers at each location, so registrations are taken on a first come, first serve basis. Customers are encouraged to bring plug in headphones for computer-based workshops, as there some sessions include trainings and assessments that utilize audio instruction. The facilitator will contact you to confirm registration and provide further instructions. See below for full schedule.
Indeed Virtual Job Search Academy Launched
The Westchester-Putnam Career Center Network has partnered with Indeed to offer a wide variety of webinars and workshops through the Job Search Academy. The Job Search Academy is a free virtual program created to help you excel in your job search. The program focuses on mastering the 5 key areas of the job search so you feel confident every step of the way—because everyone deserves a fulfilling career path. NYS DOL Virtual Workshop Schedule
Ready to improve your skills and start on your ideal career pathway? The New York State Department of Labor offers free virtual monthly workshops on a wide variety of job search topics including resume writing, interview preparation, how to navigate a virtual career fair, how to write cover letters, managing job loss, veterans services and resources, goal setting, transferable skills and more. Because the workshops are presented online you can register for workshops offered at any of the Career Centers across New York State. All you need is access to a computer and the internet. If you don’t have access to a computer you can visit the resource room of the career center closest to you. If you have any questions about attending any of these events or recruitments, contact your local Career Center.

Northstar Digital Literacy Info Sessions
Attend an information session/workshop geared towards those looking to improve their digital literacy skills to increase employment opportunities and personal confidence in day-to-day activities that require computer use. Create a learner account and try out NorthStar practice lessons and assessments.
