The Summer Youth Employment Program provides subsidized job opportunities for youth ages 14 to 21 who meet eligibility guidelines and can provide required documentation. Youth are placed on jobs in the private, public and non-profit worksites during the summer months. Over 500 youth are placed in jobs each summer.
Employment for Youth in the Foster Care Program
Each summer Westchester County sponsors employment for youth who are in foster care through opportunities provided by the Westchester County Parks and Recreation Department. Up to 50 youth are typically placed in summer jobs which provide them an opportunity to earn some money, gain valuable experience, and make contacts. Youth must meet eligibility guidelines and provide required documentation. Download 2021 SYEP flier for foster youth.
