Request for Proposal: Westchester LEAP: Workforce re-entry and job training services
The Westchester-Putnam Local Workforce Development Board is requesting proposals from qualified entities to provide workforce re-entry and job training services for soon-to-be-released incarcerated adults. These services will address the critical transition needs of these individuals by; providing workforce re-entry training and job services to incarnated adults scheduled to be released within 45 days inform the Westchester County Correctional Facility, providing a continuum of job services by transitioning participants post-release to the community Career Centers (either located within Westchester/Putnam counties or located within the participants’ home locations), linking released inmates to comprehensive community wrap-around services, and using an established network of business sector partners to provide work experience and job opportunities..

Request for Quotations: Grant Writer for upcoming Consolidated Funding Application grant
The Westchester County Department of Social Services, on behalf of the Westchester-Putnam Workforce Development Board and the local Workforce Development Boards of the counties of Dutchess, Orange, Rockland, Sullivan and Ulster, and the City of Yonkers, are soliciting price quotations for a qualified and experienced grant writer to develop and submit a grant proposal in anticipation of funding for the upcoming Consolidated Funding Application grant expected to be issued under the auspices of the newly created New York State Office of Workforce Development with a budget of approximately $175 million.

Request for Proposal: Pathway to Employment Grant application - New York State Office of Children and Family Services Division of Juvenile and Opportunity for Youth under a Workforce Development Demonstration Project
The Westchester Putnam Local Workforce Development Board, is submitting grant application in response to the New York State Office of Children and Family Services Division of Juvenile and Opportunity for Youth under a Workforce Development Demonstration Project. The project is called Pathway to Employment The Project will serve high risk youth and young adults between the ages of 16 and 24 residing in the cities of Mt. Vernon and Yonkers, who are in the following categories: have dropped out of school; are involved in the justice system; are aging out of foster care; youth with disabilities; are unemployed or underemployed; are gang-involved or at-risk of gang-involvement; and other disadvantaged youth populations.
